ALSO! I spent a beautiful Saturday morning/afternoon/evening with Joe downtown this weekend. I highly suggest checking out the Picasso exhibit, it was absolutely inspring!  And ..... here's me enjoying the weather, a rocket Popsicle and bubbles in Kensington!

Just wanted to share some photos of my parents with you all during their travels in the nineties.

I was recently in a record store, you know doing the usual, browsing the various artists when I came across some really ace album art. It was "The Crane Wife" from The Decemberists. I kept it in mind all evening and as soon as I had a chance I googled the artist. Turns out to be Carson Ellis. Gawd, I love her work and I hope you do as well. Take a look at a few of pieces work below or go to her website at: http://carsonellis.com/index.html

Baked raspberry scones for mother's day, served with some cream, raspberry jam and a cup of tea. (recipe taken from frankie's afternoon tea). Later on tonight, I plan to serve dinner as well, some New York steak, grilled asparagus, mushrooms and a baby spinach salad.
Happy Mother's day to all the mum's out there, especially to my special mother! Love ya mom :)

Last night after dinner, instead of going home I decided to take a little drive to the nearest fabric store ... (and spent TWO hours in there!). I grabbed a new pattern and some really great floral fabric, I'm so excited to show you guys the finished product but for now here's a sneak peek!

I will and always have had much love for the city. When I’m down in the dumps or in need for some inspiration, I find myself always lingering the streets of downtown in various shops and areas which I haven’t explored in the past. Having said that, I’ve been raised in the suburbs and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Yes, I take pride in those nights as a teenager when my group and I would roam around the streets with nothing to do, not a care in the world. Yes, I’m proud that I live in a city where some people still don’t lock their front door and yes, I enjoy sitting on my balcony, sipping a tea with a view of identical rooftops. Don’t get me wrong, I love the city and find most of my time being spent downtown and plan to eventually reside there but there’s nothing wrong with having a little pride of where you’re from. I guess it’s true what they say, you’re not really going to know where you’re going unless you know where you came from.
I've decided to show my love for the suburbs with some random photographs, nothing special though, just rooftops.
(Photographed above: my cactus Dee Dee, sitting on window sil catching some vitamin D)

I'm still making cards, of course.

Hello, hello!
WOW, I just reazlied I didn't blog at all in the month of April! I've been uber busy with work, moving around and what not but I'm finally back on schedule. I hope I haven't lost any of you. I wanted to share some photos from my last trip to NYC. I always enjoy my trips to NY and I'm glad this last trip was a little impulsive and random, tons of fun :)
